The Ebay Web site is TRUSTe-certified and its online privacy practices are in compliance with TRUSTe’s requirements. The company guarantees that it will not send any personal information received from customers to any third party. Its privacy statement includes a special note about children and an explanation of how Ebay uses personal customer information. It also provides customers with the opportunity to edit the information once it is sent to the company. Moreover, customers can request that credit card data be deleted from the company database.
