This online course provides insights into issues, dilemmas, frameworks and cases useful for understanding the various factors that influence ethical decision making in an organization.  The ten week online delivery of the program provides a weekly module that includes a high level of interactivity with participant control of the rate and sequence of their exposure to information.  The outcome of this program is to enhance the participant's knowledge base and access to information for continuous development of business ethics expertise.  Skills relevant to teaching business ethics and managing an organizational ethics program are enhanced through this program.

The certificate is obtained through a distance learning format beginning February 11, 2008 Participants will be required to complete 10 modules on a weekly basis.

What have previous participants said about the program?

"I have found this class to be rather interesting from start to finish.  This is the first internet based learning experience that I have had.  The slides and information have been great."

"This course was perfect for me, particularly with my unexpectedly hectic schedule.  I must say the sense of community was particularly important - being able to 'catch up' when I could allowed me to stay connected."

"For me, the greatest value in the course was much the same as it would have been in a classroom situation - the dynamic exchange of ideas among students."

"Sharing a common interest, as we do with ethics, is a strong catalyst for the formation of new relationships.  The commonality of interest lets you sit down with someone you hardly know and almost immediately become immersed in conversation - talking like old friends who've known each other for years."

What is the distance learning platform?

Each participant must have access to a computer and the Internet to complete course requirements.  The certificate program is delivered through interaction taking place via the Internet.  Some materials will be sent by mail including books.  Instructors will also be available via email and telephone.  Students must turn in ten assignments to receive a certificate.
